Yolo County Loses Sustainable Ag Pioneer

Charlie Rominger, a founding member of the Yolo Ag Futures Alliance, and a leader in the efforts to preserve Yolo county ag land and environment, passed away from cancer in October, 2006.

As a founder of the Yolo AFA, Charlie provided the quiet leadership necessary to building bridges in the community. He was a strong supporter of Urban Growth Limits and all forms of ag land preservation and much of the Yolo AFA’s focus on land use traces back to his inspiration.

Charlie is very much missed by the community and the AFA. You may read his obituary from the Davis Enterprise here

Ag Futures Alliances are helping to build a food system that we can be proud of. By bringing together diverse local interests we foster collaboration that makes change.
